Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of integrated mechanical and electrical engineering systems.
- Produce and review concept, detailed, and construction-level design documentation, including drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and project managers.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and technical assurance activities.
- Manage design interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
- Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and technical proposals.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with strict security and confidentiality requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical design engineering.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex engineering designs for large-scale infrastructure or secure facilities.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, lighting, and building services systems.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD/BIM software.
- Experience leading technical design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Security Requirements
- Must hold active SC or DV clearance, or be eligible to obtain clearance.
- Ability to work on classified or sensitive government and defence projects.
- Must comply with all security protocols and information assurance policies.
Desirable Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership through professional bodies such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
- Experience delivering projects within defence, nuclear, or high-security government environments.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and digital engineering workflows.
