Audit legacy physical protection measures using the Go Report Template to inform Stage Gate 2 design and required waivers. Physical elements include locking systems, kiosks, cages, doors, perimeter gates, bar sets, louvers, hatches, cabinets, building structures, anti-climb systems, fence lines and compounds.
Liaise with Tier 2 suppliers to obtain certification on legacy products to support audits. Assist Design Management with waivers and the raising of Technical Queries (TQ’s) as required.
Support Technical Assurance Leads and Design Management with:
- Stage Gate 2 concept designs
- Project Brief input
- Stage Gate 3 construction activity
- Project Brief revisions
Attend meetings and training with Tier 2 Framework suppliers for Hardening and Fencing, developing relationships to support document templates and technical delivery. Develop pre-construction design paperwork and post-construction Site Acceptance paperwork with Tier 2 Framework suppliers. Produce document templates to support Technical Leads and Design Managers.
Review and complete Design Review Reports (DRR) for Tier 1 designs relating to Physical Hardening and Fenceline systems. Undertake site inspections during construction alongside the ESS commissioning team. Develop Site Attendance Reports (SAR) for physical construction elements and maintain snagging reports.
Provide post-construction Compliance Audit reports for Physical Hardening and Fenceline systems, including support with Go Report development. Develop processes with Tier 1 suppliers for official post-construction Site Acceptance. Review physical elements of the site SAMM pack post-construction. Attend SHE17 handover site visits where required. Provide input into Stage Gate 4–6 post-construction documentation.
Become conversant with SEAP standards and client standards including SP08 and SEC250. Provide internal training and tools to apprentices in support of the “School of Excellence”. Manage and support growth of the Physical department, including recruitment and mentoring of junior engineers where required.
Attend relevant meetings, including weekly progress meetings, stakeholder approval meetings and site visits. Support programme tracking, reporting tools, KPI improvement and management reporting requirements. Liaise with client security personnel and assist Client PM teams with ad hoc requests and Early Warning Notices (EWN’s). Maintain continual personal development and contribute to the ongoing development of the business.
