Core subject Tutors for Young People with SEND and SEMH Leader Education are looking for educators with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable young people. Our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in and around Greater Manchester and working with compassionate educators is integral to this.
Tutoring with us is a unique opportunity to utilise your previous experience supporting additional educational needs - including supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, LAC, EOTAS to make a real difference. We are looking for tutors who are eager to work with the children and young people we support in a holistic and trauma-informed manner to raise their engagement and improve their outcomes.
Being a tutor with us will involve providing impactful support and being creative and flexible in your delivery and methods of teaching for a variety of learning needs. Whether your specialism is primary or secondary education, SEND interventions, mental health and pastoral support, EAL or you enjoy creative teaching through drama, arts and activities, it is likely that our young people need your expertise.
Requirements
- Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with Additional Educational Needs
- Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
- Two professional references

As part of our Safer Recruitment, you will be required to go through our vetting process before you can work in a school. For this role you will require an Enhanced Child or Child and Adults DBS. This is mandatory to work in a school and if you do not have one you can apply for one through Leader Education.
