Leader Education is recruiting for a passionate SEND Teacher to work in a specialist SEND school in Trafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and achieve meaningful progress in their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEND including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and learning difficulties.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel safe and valued.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and learning materials to meet individual learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and pastoral teams to support student progress.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive classroom engagement.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Experience working with students with SEND or SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
