The role supports academic, social, and emotional development and helps students access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve meaningful progress in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students’ academic progress alongside their social and emotional development
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to support engagement and understanding
- Assist students with complex needs to access the curriculum in ways that meet their individual learning styles
- Provide personal care where required while maintaining dignity, respect, and safeguarding standards (full training provided)
- Adapt communication and support strategies to meet a range of sensory, physical, behavioural, and communication needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive relationships within the school environment
