About This Role
Leader Education is actively recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in both mainstream and specialist school environments across Leeds and surrounding areas. These full-time roles are long-term temporary positions, ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in education.
We Are Looking For Flexible And Resilient Individuals To Support Students Aged 4-16 With a Range Of SEND, Including But Not Limited To
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- ADHD and other associated conditions
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth work experience considered)
- Confident supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
