Overview
Leader Education is recruiting a General Teacher to work at a SEND school based in Harrogate. The school caters for children aged 2-19 years old and supports students with PMLD, ASC and elements of challenging behaviour. The school’s Ofsted rating is Good, recognised for its warm and welcoming environment where students can thrive.
Working pattern: 8:45 to 3:50 pm. This is a long-term role following a successful trial day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons to pupils with SEND in a SEND school setting.
- Collaborate with support staff to implement tailored interventions.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- General knowledge of core subjects.
- Experience working with children with SEND.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, resilient and patient personality.
- Familiar with tailored interventions and programmes used to support children with PMLD, ASC and/or challenging behaviour.
