About The Role
To specialise in leading and delivering Science up to GCSE level to KS3 and KS4 aged pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs.
Responsibilities
- Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
- Teach pupils aged KS3 and KS4.
- Delivering engaging and tailored Science lessons to individual learning needs.
- Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework, and assessments.
- Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about working with students with SEND needs.
- Specialism in teaching Science is essential.
- Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar setting supporting pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs, including mainstream schools.
- Qualified – QTS is essential.
- Understands EHCPs and autism-informed practice.
- Calm, organised and passionate about teaching and making a difference.
