A compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant is needed at a specialist SEND school, working with students aged 11–19 with complex additional needs. The role supports academic, social, and emotional development and helps students access learning, build confidence, develop independence, and achieve meaningful progress in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students’ academic progress alongside their social and emotional development
  • Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to support engagement and understanding
  • Assist students with complex needs to access the curriculum in ways that meet their individual learning styles
  • Provide personal care where required while maintaining dignity, respect, and safeguarding standards (full training provided)
  • Adapt communication and support strategies to meet a range of sensory, physical, behavioural, and communication needs
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive relationships within the school environment
