About The School
This small, supportive school caters for pupils aged 2–19 with PMLD, ASC, and additional behavioural needs. Staff are dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every young person feels safe, understood, and empowered to succeed. Their recent “Good” Ofsted rating reflects a positive, caring community where both students and staff are supported to thrive.
The Role
This is a long‑term position (following a successful trial day), with consistent hours: 8:45am – 3:45pm. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and access to learning, working closely with experienced staff and professionals to create a positive and engaging school experience.

- Are a graduate in Psychology, Mental Health, or a related field (or looking to gain experience in this area)
- Have a genuine interest in supporting children with SEND and mental health needs
- Are compassionate, patient, and resilient
- Build positive relationships and communicate effectively
- Understand (or are eager to learn about) safeguarding and child welfare
- Have experience supporting young people (helpful, but not essential)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS (or are willing to obtain one)
