Overview
At Leader Education, we are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support children within a SEND school who cater for both primary and secondary students. The school is based in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have previous experience working with young people and a genuine interest and commitment to helping them reach their full potential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8:30 to 15:30.
Responsibilities
- Support children within a SEND school catering for both primary and secondary students
- Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
- Contribute to a collaborative environment and support safeguarding and welfare
Qualifications
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in a classroom setting or transferable skills
- Passion for teaching and learning with the ability to make learning enjoyable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative working
