Leader Education are seeking committed Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to support students in schools across Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in education while supporting pupils who require additional guidance to succeed. Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and remain engaged in education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support for pupils who require additional academic or behavioural support.
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
  • Support students on a 1:1 basis or within small intervention groups.
  • Encourage positive engagement with learning and school routines.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Support students who may experience SEMH challenges or learning difficulties.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, care, or support roles).
  • Interest in education, child development, or SEND support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
