Leader Group are working closely with a SEND School, who is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Vocational Studies Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for a specialist with experience in Construction, Engineering, or Mechanics who is committed to supporting young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential. You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND, SEMH, and associated behavioural needs, while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality vocational lessons in Construction, Engineering, or Mechanics.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff to support student progress.
  • Lead curriculum delivery in line with national education requirements.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum plans, individual learning targets, and student reports.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
  • Experience working within a SEND, SEMH, alternative provision, or similar educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and inspire student engagement.
