Leader Education are recruiting a Driver/Chaperone to work at a small School based in Newcastle. The successful Driver/Chaperone will have a D1 Licence, experience chaperoning, and exposure or understanding to young people with different behavioural and Mental Health needs. The school caters for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
For this position the normal working pattern is from 7:00am and runs for approximately 2.5 hours Monday to Friday. This position is long term with the potential of it becoming permanent.
To Be Successful With Leader Education, The Candidate Will
- Hold a D1 Licence, and experience driving a vehicle with this capacity
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Be able to maintain clear communication with passengers to ensure a positive and comfortable experience
- Have respect towards the privacy and confidentiality of passengers
- Dress appropriately for the occasion or organisation
- Arrive on time for scheduled pickups and drop-offs
- Assist passengers as necessary
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adapt and commit to meeting the students SEMH needs
