Overview

Children\’s Residential Support Worker (Temp-to-Perm) role at Leader Education.

This is a full-time position (39 hours per week), involving a combination of long days, sleep-ins, and weekend shifts. The initial 12 weeks will be worked via our agency, after which you will transition to a permanent role with our client.

Please Note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applications from individuals currently sponsored elsewhere or seeking to switch sponsorship will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day care and support to children and young people within the home.
  • Assist and encourage children in their daily routines, promoting independence and personal growth.
  • Foster positive, trusting relationships with children, providing emotional support and encouragement.
  • Implement individual care plans and behaviour management strategies to ensure each child\\\’s welfare and development.
  • Contribute to household responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Participate in recreational and social activities that promote emotional and social development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures related to the care of children.

  • Essential: Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.

  • A full UK manual driving license is essential.
