Job Title: Catering/Hospitality Teacher
Location: Gateshead
Contract Type: Long term temporary
Leader Education are recruiting a Catering/Hospitality Teacher to work within an alternative provision in Gateshead.
Pupils at this school are experiencing interruptions in their education due to either permanent exclusion from mainstream settings or referrals from their previous schools for additional support in understanding their individual needs.
This school is committed to identifying the most suitable educational provision for each learner while supporting them in building a successful and positive future.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.
Leader Education are dedicated to ensuring that we find adaptable roles and schedules that work effectively for you.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications
- A current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one
- Previous experience as a Catering/Hospitality teacher
- Ability to effectively deliver the curriculum, offering support, advice and guidance to pupils
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability and initiative to accommodate for various learning type and abilities, striving towards social and academic development
- High expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves
