Leader Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to support children and young people with behavioural difficulties in mainstream & specialist SEND schools across Leeds & Pontefract. These are long-term temporary roles, ideal for candidates seeking a consistent, full-time position in a supportive and structured environment.
The Role
You will support pupils in a 121 setting who have a wide range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, behavioural and social differences.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
- Assisting in the development of independence, and confidence
- Supporting communication, language and social development
- Transferring pupils safely between sites
- Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil
- Contributing to a nurturing and structured learning environment
Role Requirements
Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential. We are looking for people based in the Leeds area, with the right attitude and transferable skills to be able to support young people with challenging behaviours.
