Leader Education are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a SEND school in Yorkshire. This role involves supporting pupils aged 3–16 with a range of specific learning difficulties, so a strong understanding of EHCPs is essential. The school has been praised by Ofsted for delivering high‑quality learning experiences within a warm, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Working across both primary and secondary sites, the school provides a supportive and nurturing community that prioritises the development and wellbeing of both students and staff.

This is a long‑term position, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
  • Have relevant experience – with SEND or vulnerable individuals
  • Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
  • Be flexible and resilient
  • Possess good classroom skills
