A leading global financial technology platform is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its growing international legal team. The Legal Counsel will support the international legal function across EMEA, working closely with product, structuring, client solutions, compliance, and operational teams. The role will focus primarily on private investment funds and related structuring, marketing, and distribution activities across multiple jurisdictions.

This position offers the opportunity to work on strategic initiatives and contribute directly to the development and expansion of the company's investment platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements with external counterparties, including fund managers and distribution partners.
  • Prepare and review fund offering materials, partnership agreements, and related legal documentation.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal and commercial matters relating to fund launches and ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate with external counsel on regulatory, corporate, and investment-related issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of new products, structures, and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, operations, and business teams to deliver practical legal solutions.
  • Manage legal projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
  • Provide commercially focused guidance to support the continued growth of the business.
Qualifications
  • Qualified lawyer in the UK, Luxembourg, New York, or another relevant jurisdiction.
  • Approximately 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in investment management, private funds, or fund formation.
  • Experience working with private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investment structures.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg corporate structures and related regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cross-border fund regulations and investment management laws is advantageous.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex matters efficiently.
