About Our client is seeking a senior leader with deep expertise in energy policy and economic infrastructure to join a rapidly expanding advisory practice. In this London-based role, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact advisory work, blending political insight with commercial strategy. While focusing heavily on our expanding UK client portfolio, you will also collaborate closely with colleagues across international hubs to support clients navigating cross-border regulatory shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Partner with senior executives and investors to help them understand, anticipate, and navigate political, policy, and regulatory change across the energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Account & Project Leadership: Oversee multidisciplinary teams delivering complex research, regulatory analysis, monitoring, and strategic reports, ensuring consistently high-quality outputs.
- Business Development: Play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth, identifying new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and scaling the energy and infrastructure practice.
- Thought Leadership: Share deep insights into critical policy dynamics—spanning energy generation, retail, networks, and flexible technologies—to help clients achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Team Mentorship: Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture through active mentorship and the professional development of junior and mid-level team members.
What We Are Looking For
- Sector Expertise: Significant, hands-on experience in energy sector policy and its intersection with politics, with a proven ability to advise on complex matters across generation, retail, networks, and flexible technologies.
- Infrastructure Acumen: A solid grasp of wider economic infrastructure sectors, alongside a strong understanding of investment frameworks and private finance models supporting infrastructure assets.
- Professional Background: A distinguished leadership background gained within government, a regulatory body, a specialized consultancy, a think tank, or through an in-house policy/strategy role within an energy or infrastructure business/investment firm.
- Project Delivery: A proven track record of managing end-to-end projects and high-performing teams in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.
