Role Overview
This position focuses on evaluating the operational soundness of investment managers and funds, with an emphasis on identifying potential risks and recommending practical solutions. Your findings will be delivered in written reports that are shared directly with clients. Beyond the core due diligence work, you\’ll also have the chance to contribute to the evolution of the firm\’s operational risk offering and new service initiatives. The role offers excellent exposure to the alternative investment sector and clear opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out operational reviews of alternative investment managers and funds across a variety of asset classes.
- Draft in-depth reports highlighting operational risks, internal controls, and best practice recommendations.
- Maintain ongoing oversight of allocated managers, ensuring reports are updated as circumstances change.
- Conduct onsite meetings with fund managers and operational staff to discuss processes and controls.
- Analyse financial statements, fund documentation, and other materials relevant to operational due diligence.
- Contact service providers to verify information and enhance the completeness of assessments.
- Deliver clear, timely, and well-structured written outputs for clients.
- Act as a point of contact for client questions and manager follow-ups related to due diligence.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, championing best practice and sharing knowledge within the team and wider firm.
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.
- Support client relationship management and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Represent the firm at relevant industry conferences and events.
- Collaborate across functions and regions to strengthen the due diligence process.
- Contribute insights to internal knowledge platforms and external client communications.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years\’ experience in the alternative investment space, ideally within operational due diligence.
- Strong academic background (degree-level or equivalent).
- Professional qualifications such as CAIA, CFA, or ACA (or an intention to pursue one).
- Excellent written communication skills with proven experience in producing professional reports.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple deadlines.
- Professional, client-facing presence with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Commitment to regulatory and compliance obligations.
