The Company is a high-growth, well-funded company operating at the intersection of technology and natural resources, seeking an Associate General Counsel to support its expanding global operations. The business focuses on the discovery and development of critical materials essential to modern infrastructure and electrification, leveraging advanced data-driven approaches to support long-term supply.
As the organisation continues to scale internationally, it is building out its legal function to support increasingly complex project development and commercial activity.
This is a senior, high-impact position within a lean and collaborative legal team, offering significant ownership and exposure across global projects. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, advising on a broad range of complex, cross-border matters relating to project development and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and negotiate EPC contracts for large-scale infrastructure and energy-related projects
- Advise on major equipment procurement and vendor agreements
- Structure and negotiate offtake agreements
- Support project development and project finance transactions
- Provide strategic legal input across the full lifecycle of projects
- Collaborate with commercial, technical, and operational teams globally
- Advise on export controls and customs matters (desirable)
- 14–18 years' of legal experience with strong international experience
- Trained at a top-tier law firm in your jurisdiction, with a strong academic background
- Significant in-house experience within energy, infrastructure, mining, or a related sector
- Deep expertise across projects, EPC, and project finance work
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment
