Director - Real Asset Transactions

A leading global alternatives advisory and investment firm is seeking a senior professional to join its Real Assets team, focusing on infrastructure investments. This Director-level role will take a leadership position in evaluating and executing primary fund commitments, co-investments, and secondaries, with a specific focus on infrastructure assets.

The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in infrastructure transactions—whether from a transaction advisory (e.g., Big 4) or financing background—and is adept at applying a practitioner’s lens to investment analysis. The firm is looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a deep industry network and a healthy degree of investment skepticism.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end evaluation and execution of infrastructure-focused investments across co-investments, primary funds, and secondaries
• Maintain and grow sourcing relationships with GPs and other market participants to identify compelling deal flow
• Provide rigorous critical analysis and challenge conventional thinking on investment theses
• Mentor and develop junior professionals within the investment team
• Work closely with client-facing teams to communicate market trends, deal activity, and portfolio updates
• Represent the firm in client and prospect meetings
• Collaborate internally with legal, operations, risk, and other cross-functional teams

• Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure investing, transaction advisory, or infrastructure-focused financing
  • Background in infrastructure M&A, due diligence, project finance, or capital markets preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities, with the ability to assess complex investments from multiple angles
  • Demonstrated independence of thought and sound investment judgment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to cultivate industry networks and engage credibly with external partners
  • Prior experience from a Big 4 advisory team, infrastructure fund, investment bank, or institutional investor is a strong plus
