Job Description
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced solicitor (3-8PQE) to join its market-leading Corporate Insurance team. The role is primarily transactional, with a significant regulatory element, and offers a rare opportunity to work on high-profile, cutting-edge matters within the insurance sector
The team is particularly well known for its expertise in risk transfer, pension scheme de-risking, M&A, and structured reinsurance transactions. Many matters have an insurtech or private equity angle. While prior experience in de-risking work is not essential, candidates should have a solid grounding in insurance law and a genuine interest in building deep sector expertise.
Key Work Areas
- Transactional Work: Involvement in high-value insurance M&A, structured reinsurance deals, and innovative risk-transfer transactions.
- Pension Scheme De-risking: Work on longevity swaps and other de-risking mechanisms for large pension schemes. Prior experience in this area is helpful but not required—training will be provided.
- Regulatory Advisory: Advise clients on complex Solvency II issues, authorisation processes, corporate governance, and compliance with UK and EU regulatory frameworks.
