About the Role: We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Event Operations Executive to join our dynamic team at LeadDev on a fixed term contract until the end of December ’26. You’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our flagship in-person events in the UK and globally, as well as our year-round digital event programme. You will work closely with the content production, sales, and marketing teams to help create exceptional experiences for our speakers, delegates, and sponsors, both online and on-site. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for events and outstanding organisational skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience:
- Proven experience in event delivery, gained through a previous role, internship, or placement is essential
- Experience working in a professional, fast-paced environment
- Previous involvement in both digital and in-person events is a strong advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for speakers and contributors for both our in-person and digital events, ensuring they feel supported throughout the entire event process
- Coordinate travel and accommodation logistics, ensuring speaker travel remains within budget
- Prepare speaker briefs and manage contracts
- Handle communications and queries in a timely, professional manner
- Ensure accurate speaker information is added to event websites and materials
- Adding speaker details to Wordpress
- Liaise with suppliers to coordinate event materials (e.g., printed collateral, speaker gifts)
- Source and compare supplier quotes and negotiate terms
- Working with budgets and negotiating costs in line with budgets
- Creating webinars on Zoom
- Manage on-site agency staff and oversee timely delivery of resources
- Handle additional ad-hoc logistics needs as required
On-site & Online Event Delivery:
- Support the delivery team to ensure exceptional event experiences for speakers, delegates, and sponsors
- Assist with event set-up and coordination during in-person events
- Liaise with venue staff and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Provide outstanding on-site customer service
- Champion LeadDev’s values of delight, quality, and inclusion in all interactions
Delegate & Stakeholder Care:
- Support post-event follow-up including gathering and analysing feedback from attendees, speakers, and sponsors
- Coordinate thank-you emails and manage communications with suppliers post-event
Skills & Knowledge:
- Impeccable attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
- Comfortable working with Google Suite tools (GSheets, GDocs, etc.)
- Strong numerical literacy and data handling skills
- Able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel internationally is essential
- Remote-first role with weekly attendance at the London office and monthly company-wide team days
