We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee carpentry and interior fit-out projects from planning through completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, quality, safety, subcontractors, and client coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee multiple carpentry and interior fit-out projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage site operations, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Supervise site personnel, subcontractors, and installation teams to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, procurement, and material deliveries to ensure budget compliance.
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular project progress updates to management and clients.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure all works meet contractual specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate project handover, defect rectification, and final completion documentation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in carpentry, interior fit-out, furniture, or specialist trade projects.
  • Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, joinery, millwork, and finishing works.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Able to interpret construction drawings and shop drawings.
  • Good understanding of project planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing commercial offices, condominiums, hotels, retail, or institutional fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of custom furniture manufacturing and installation processes.
  • Possession of relevant construction safety certifications will be an advantage.
