Our Client is a growing and ambitious electrical contractor specialising in renewables installations, repair, and maintenance across domestic and commercial sites. They're seeking a Senior Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to join their expanding team. Operating across domestic and commercial projects, the successful Electrician will be working on a variety of installations and testing, particularly within the renewable energy sector, including ongoing solar, heat pumps, and EV projects across Essex and surrounding counties.
Senior Electrician Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Carry out Solar PV installations on domestic and commercial properties.
- Oversee installation of Solar PV, EV Chargers, and Heat Pumps.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
- Testing and commissioning of newly installed renewables systems.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or required remedial works.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards.
- Working from home or the office one to two days a week, maintaining accurate job records and documentation, reviewing testing documentation etc.
Senior Electrician Requirements:
- 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Based within a commutable distance of Chelmsford.
- Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- 2391 Inspection.
