HIU Engineer required for our client, a Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial Heating Contractor based in Glasgow who have been established for over 20 years. They specialise in residential, industrial and commercial gas, mechanical, and electrical services, offering a full suite of plant room re-fit, service, and repair works. The Heating Engineer will travel throughout East Lothian, West Lothian, and Edinburgh and will attend domestic boiler and HIU breakdown, repair and service work.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and maintain heat interface units / HIU's, and domestic boilers (if qualified)
- Identify and diagnose problems with gas appliances and systems
- Repair and maintenance to hot and cold water systems
- Perform regular maintenance on gas appliances and systems to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently
- Ensure paperwork is complete on time and accurately
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing and heating
- Experience in maintenance and service of HIU's
- ACS Domestic Gas Tickets (Advantageous)
- ACS Commercial Gas Tickets (Advantageous)
- Based within a commutable distance of East Lothian, West Lothian, Edinburgh, and surrounding areas
- Full UK Driving License
Remuneration
- Salary £45,000 - £48,000
- Travel pay after 15 mins
- Overtime available
- Call out 1 in 7/8 (£180 for standby)
