With a team of over 170 people across more than 8 offices, we work a diverse range of projects—from master‑planning new developments and regenerating urban areas to designing sustainable infrastructure and supporting environmental initiatives.
In this Senior Landscape Planner role, you will take the lead on landscape and visual impact assessments, driving the design process while keeping work aligned with relevant guidelines. You’ll work closely with junior staff, helping them grow, and collaborate across teams to create environmentally thoughtful master‑plans. Your responsibilities will include managing projects, offering creative solutions, and contributing to assessments of Green Belt and protected landscapes. GIS experience or experience as an expert witness is a bonus, but more important is your approach and teamwork.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture
- A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
- Strong background in landscape and visual impact assessments
- Passion for context‑driven master‑planning and design
- Familiar with LVIA guidelines and relevant landscape assessment methodologies
- Knowledge of landscape character assessments, Green Belt, and protected landscape evaluations
- Understanding of UK planning legislation and policies
- Creative, collaborative approach to environmental considerations in design
- Experience in project management and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in consultancy, leading assessments, and mentoring junior staff
- GIS skills and expert witness experience a plus
