A well-established landscape architecture studio based in Manchester is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from initial concept through to completion, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and public realm developments, with a strong focus on delivering sustainable and innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage landscape architecture projects of varying scales
- Prepare and supervise the development of landscape masterplans, detailed designs, and construction documentation
- Provide expert technical and design guidance
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and consultants
- Contribute to the preparation of planning applications, feasibility studies, and design reviews
- Mentor junior team members
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure efficient and timely delivery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Stay updated on industry trends
Key Skills and Qualifications Required
- A degree in Landscape Architecture
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or on the P2C
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in landscape architecture
- Proven track record of leading and managing complex landscape projects from concept to completion
- Strong design, technical, and presentation skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard software
- Experience with BIM and 3D visualization is advantageous
- In-depth understanding of UK planning systems, environmental regulations, and construction processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative team player with leadership capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
