Our client, a growing, design‑led multidisciplinary practice is looking to bring in a Senior or Associate Landscape Architect to join its landscape team. With a team of over 100 people across three UK studios, they’ve built a strong reputation for delivering well‑thought‑out, people‑focused projects across a wide mix of sectors. The landscape team works closely with architects and urban designers, so projects are genuinely collaborative from day one. Ideas are developed with delivery in mind, meaning you’re not just designing on paper, you’re seeing projects through and making sure they work in the real world. Projects range across residential, education, public realm, commercial and leisure, often involving complex, multi‑disciplinary coordination. The team is involved right from early concept stages through to completion, so there’s plenty of variety and ownership in the role. There’s a strong people‑first culture across the studio, with a big emphasis on relationships, teamwork and creating places that genuinely improve quality of life. A high level of repeat work reflects the trust they’ve built with clients over time.
The role
- Leading and delivering landscape projects across a range of sectors
- Working across all stages from concept through to delivery
- Collaborating with architects, urban designers and wider project teams
- Producing and overseeing design work, technical packages and reports
- Getting involved in landscape planning work including appraisals and LVIA
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to client relationships and future work opportunities
About you
- 10+ years’ experience
- CMLI membership
- Experienced designer with a passion for designing meaningful spaces
- Sound technical knowledge, on site delivery experience
- Experience in landscape appraisals and LVIAs, with appeal experience
- Worked across a range of sectors at all project stages
- Project lead with strong communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of multi‑disciplinary team
- Experience supporting/mentoring junior team members
- Strong business development skills, with interests in supporting a growing team
- Proficient in design software such as Vectorworks, Autocad and Keyscape
