A growing independent landscape and urban design studio in Manchester that is looking to recruit a Graduate or Assistant Landscape Designer.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to join a collaborative, design-led team working on a broad range of regeneration, public realm and development projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to every stage of the design process while working alongside experienced Landscape Architects and Urban Designers in a supportive studio environment.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the design team, supporting projects from early concepts through to planning and detailed design.
Responsibilities will include
- Assisting with landscape and public realm design projects
- Supporting the preparation of masterplans and regeneration proposals
- Producing presentation drawings, graphics and visualisations
- Assisting with planning and design documentation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across landscape architecture, urban design and graphics
- Contributing to projects across a variety of sectors and scales
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality design solutions from concept through to implementation
ABOUT YOU
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture.
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills
- A creative approach to problem solving.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaborativel.
- An interest in regeneration, placemaking and public realm
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
Experience using the following software would be advantageous
- Auto CAD
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Revit (desirable)
