An established design studio is looking to appoint a Senior Garden Designer or Landscape Architect to take a leading role in the delivery of high quality residential and commercial landscape projects. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from the earliest design stages through to completion on site. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, consultants and contractors while helping shape the future growth of a creative and ambitious studio.

The successful candidate will be trusted to lead projects independently, manage client relationships and oversee the design and delivery process from concept design through to construction.

THE ROLE
  • Lead landscape and garden design projects from inception to completion
  • Develop creative design concepts and detailed design packages
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications and presentation material
  • Manage project programmes, budgets and consultant coordination
  • Attend client meetings, site visits and contractor reviews
  • Oversee project delivery during construction stages
  • Contribute to planting design and landscape detailing
  • Support the ongoing growth and development of the studio
REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture, Garden Design or a related discipline
  • Several years' experience delivering landscape or garden design projects
  • Strong design ability with an excellent eye for detail
  • Experience managing projects and dealing directly with clients
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of landscape construction
  • Strong planting knowledge and appreciation for high quality landscape design
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Software Skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Vectorworks would be advantageous
