Our client, a leading multidisciplinary design and planning practice is seeking a Landscape Planner to join its London-based team. With a strong emphasis on landscape-led, sustainable placemaking, the practice works across a wide range of sectors and scales, from strategic green infrastructure planning to site-specific masterplanning.
You’ll be joining a collaborative group that works on everything from large-scale masterplans and green infrastructure strategies to detailed landscape reports and planning submissions. The studio takes a landscape-led approach to projects, so your ideas and input will be at the heart of shaping how places evolve.
The office is centrally located with excellent transport links. It’s easily accessible by train, bus, and major road networks, making commuting straightforward whether coming from within the city or surrounding areas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Working on a mix of exciting projects
- Preparing landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA), planning reports, and environmental inputs
- Collaborating with planners, ecologists, designers, and external consultants
- Getting involved in community consultations and helping explain landscape ideas
- Keeping up to date with planning policy and using it to guide good design
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (or working towards it)
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy or multidisciplinary setting
- Knowledge of UK planning policy, landscape legislation, and environmental assessment processes
- Strong report writing, analytical, and visual communication skills
- Proficient in GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or CAD-based software
- A full UK driving licence
