Our client is a well-established and highly respected landscape architecture, ecology and urban design practice that’s about to open a new London studio. They’re one of the largest independently owned consultancies in the Midlands and work on a wide mix of meaty, design-led projects across the UK, from uber strategic land and residential to more complex infrastructure and mixed-use regeneration schemes. Currently, they are also involved in 3 of the 12 New Towns recently announced in the published New Towns Task Force report. With a growing number of projects in the Southeast and across the UK, they’ve decided it’s the right time to have a proper presence in London, and it’s looking like premises will now be secured by the end of the month.
The first step is bringing in the right senior person, ideally at Associate Director or Landscape Director level as team lead. Then, the company Directors, alongside Leadcareers, have a strategic plan to work with this person and use my strong network of connections to approach some of the best landscape architects in London to build out the team. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to step away from their normal day-to-day and use their leadership experience and initiative to help shape and grow the Southern office. The timing of this really couldn’t be better as it really is a super exciting role for the right person, someone who wants to take their career to the top level whilst benefitting from the backing of a long-standing, collaborative, design-led team behind them.
