Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool who is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Architect with expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) to join their growing team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller environmental schemes, contributing to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality landscape designs that balance development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITES
- Lead and contribute to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)
- Develop detailed landscape designs and proposals
- Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting
- Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations
- Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, ecologists, and engineers
- Client liaison
- Assist in business development activities
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Landscape Architecture
- Extensive experience in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
- Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership
- Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs across various sectors
- Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS, as well as experience with visualisation tools such as SketchUp or Revit
- Excellent report-writing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation
- A full UK driving licence
