Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary studio based in Edinburgh who are looking for an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join their growing team. You will lead a variety of exciting and high-profile projects, ranging from urban regeneration to sustainable public spaces. As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to shape the creative direction of projects, mentor junior staff, and play an integral role in delivering impactful, innovative landscape designs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the design and delivery of complex landscape architecture projects
- Oversee and mentor junior landscape architects and project teams, providing guidance and support throughout all project stages
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from concept design through to detailed documentation, construction, and final delivery
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, presentations, and reports for planning applications and construction phases
- Ensure compliance with planning regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards
- Participate in business development activities, contributing to client pitches, proposals, and securing new projects
REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Landscape Architecture
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
- Proven experience in landscape architecture with a strong portfolio showcasing design and technical skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualisation software (e.g., SketchUp or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines
