Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary studio is looking for an Assistant Landscape Architect for their Cardiff office. They work across Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, Residential, masterplans, and public realm projects, with a strong focus on sustainability and ecology. Their Cardiff office is well connected, just a short walk from Cardiff Central and Queen Street stations, with frequent trains across the city and beyond. The new Cardiff Bus Interchange is nearby, offering easy local bus connections, while regular services link to Cardiff Bay and key areas. Cycling routes and local amenities make the office easily accessible whether arriving by train, bus, bike, or on foot.
THE ROLE
- Supporting the design and delivery of landscape projects from early concept through to site
- Preparing drawings, visuals, and presentation materials that clearly communicate ideas
- Collaborating closely with architects and consultants so landscape and architecture work seamlessly together
- Helping with planting plans, material palettes, and detailed design information
- Visiting sites to assist with monitoring landscape works during construction
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS
- A degree in Landscape Architecture
- A keen eye for design and an interest in contemporary landscapes and public realm
- Comfortable using AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of 3D software is a plus
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team but can also take initiative
- Good visual and verbal communication skills
- Full right to work in the UK
