Our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy with a growing ecological team based in Birmingham. They are looking for ecologists at all levels, from those just starting out to experienced seniors. The team works on a wide range of projects, including large-scale residential developments, and focuses on collaboration and early design input. Their ecologists work closely with landscape and design teams to create practical, creative, and sustainable solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out ecological surveys and assessments
  • Write clear, high-quality reports
  • Help design practical solutions in collaboration with landscape and design teams
  • Provide advice on protected species, habitats, and mitigation
  • Keep up with ecological legislation and best practice
  • Support or hold protected species licences, depending on experience

Qualifications and requirements:

  • A degree in ecology or closely related subject
  • Experience with ecological surveys and reporting (depending on level)
  • Protected species licences or working towards them (depending on level)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
