Our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy with a growing ecological team based in Birmingham. They are looking for ecologists at all levels, from those just starting out to experienced seniors. The team works on a wide range of projects, including large-scale residential developments, and focuses on collaboration and early design input. Their ecologists work closely with landscape and design teams to create practical, creative, and sustainable solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out ecological surveys and assessments
- Write clear, high-quality reports
- Help design practical solutions in collaboration with landscape and design teams
- Provide advice on protected species, habitats, and mitigation
- Keep up with ecological legislation and best practice
- Support or hold protected species licences, depending on experience
Qualifications and requirements:
- A degree in ecology or closely related subject
- Experience with ecological surveys and reporting (depending on level)
- Protected species licences or working towards them (depending on level)
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
