Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool who is seeking a skilled Associate Landscape Architect with expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) to join their growing team on a 100% remote working basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller environmental schemes, contributing to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality landscape designs that balance development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)
  • Develop detailed landscape designs and proposals
  • Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations
  • Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, ecologists, and engineers
  • Client liaison
  • Assist in business development activities

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Extensive experience in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership
  • Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs across various sectors
  • Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS, as well as experience with visualisation tools such as SketchUp or Revit
  • Excellent report-writing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation
  • A full UK driving licence
