Job Purpose: As Clinical Project Manager II, your brief will be to ensure that Perceptive Discovery's research projects are conducted on time and within budget by leading the internal project teams and collaborating with sponsors and clinical CRO partners. You will be part of a small, highly supportive team within the Clinical Operations group, working on a hybrid basis. Your portfolio will comprise a broad range of projects spanning early and late phase clinical trials. As the primary point of contact with partners, you’ll provide regular operational updates and collaborate closely with other team members across the organisation to facilitate successful study conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Study Execution – Coordinate study planning, start‑up, maintenance, and close‑out; lead and manage early and late phase imaging projects.
  • Strong project management, analytical, problem‑solving, strategic and organisational skills; utilise project management tools to plan, track, prioritise and communicate timelines and deliverables to internal and external teams.
  • Prepare project plans and manage study projects in various phases; actively manage timelines, resources and revenue forecasting.
  • Assess overall project quality including risk identification and mitigation; resolve issues affecting scope, quality, effort, risk and timelines.
  • Serve as back‑up to assigned project managers and take on individual project assignments as necessary.
  • Documentation & Communication – Conduct scheduled teleconferences with clients; manage agenda, minutes and actions; support development of study documents (communication plan, source data agreements, project plan, etc.).
  • Maintain operational documentation and support study‑specific reporting; standardise project management processes, SOPs and work instructions.
  • Communicate timelines and deliverables clearly to stakeholders; assist authoring or approval of required documents and templates.
  • Financial Management – Manage studies to contract specifications and timelines; proactive budget, revenue reconciliation, pass‑through costs and change orders; ensure accurate tracking and forecasting across projects; ensure all terms and conditions for contracts are observed.
  • Teamwork – Support team members, work effectively with colleagues across boundaries, operate proactively with minimal supervision, demonstrate reliability and a can‑do attitude; mentor project managers; support client portfolio management; participate in business development process and audits.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties to support departmental or organisational needs.

Experience, Education, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific subject or equivalent industrial experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, clinical research, or hospital environment (preferred).
  • PMP certification and medical imaging experience preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of GCP and ICH regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong project management, analytical, problem‑solving, strategic and organisational skills, including attention to detail and ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to work in strict compliance with all SOPs, protocols and regulations.
  • English: fluent.
