Account Executive at Neos Networks offers alternative working arrangements that give employees some flexibility, including office, home and hybrid working. Base location: Glasgow with the option of hybrid working 2/3 days per week. Salary: £35k to £45k dependent on experience + performance related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing. Working Pattern: Permanent Full time with the option of hybrid working.

What is the role?

  • Prospect, qualify, and win new Utilities customers (new logos), using a blend of inbound leads, marketing activity, events, and proactive outreach.
  • Grow revenue within existing Utilities accounts by identifying upsell/cross-sell demand and progressing opportunities through to close.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline and provide accurate forecasting via CRM with a disciplined weekly cadence.
  • Shape customer value propositions across Neos connectivity and network solutions, working closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., product, marketing, delivery).
  • Support smooth handover into delivery teams to ensure contracted revenue lands as planned and to customer timescales.

Key tasks

  • Generate and convert new business within Utilities through targeted prospecting, lead follow-up, and structured sales activity focused on new logo acquisition.
  • Grow revenue from existing Utilities accounts by identifying, qualifying, and progressing upsell/cross-sell demand opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and provide accurate weekly forecasting of identified/proposed opportunities using CRM discipline.
  • Develop and maintain account/pursuit plans to meet growth objectives, engaging the right internal stakeholders as required.
  • Create and present tailored value propositions aligned to Neos go-to-market propositions and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product, marketing, delivery) to ensure customer requirements are understood and supported through to order and contract closure.
  • Support commercial negotiation and maintain focus on profitable revenue and achievement of financial targets.
  • Ensure effective handover to delivery teams and support them to ensure contract revenue is delivered as planned and within customer timescales.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer engagement and contribute to customer satisfaction outcomes (including NPS where applicable).
  • Represent Neos professionally in customer meetings (Teams and face‑to‑face) and maintain accurate opportunity/account information in business systems.

What do I need?

  • Proven experience in a new business sales environment, with background in Telecoms and/or Utilities (Utilities frameworks and customer behaviours are highly beneficial).
  • Working knowledge of core connectivity products such as optical, ethernet services, managed internet access and dark fibre (or the capability to ramp quickly).
  • Strong commercial/analytical skills, confident communication, and the ability to work across the organisation to close business.
  • Experience of using a Sales CRM tool.
