The Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager will be responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies to create new partnerships (sponsorships) in EMEA, primarily within Cricket, with a secondary focus on wider partnership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, drive, and secure new business relationships and contracts with C‑Level marketing decision makers.
- Discover and initiate new partnerships and prospective brand clients that generate revenue through partnership and/or sponsorship agreements.
- Work closely with PD team members globally for planning, as well as with clients, prospects, right holders, suppliers, and media contacts collaboratively and independently.
- Develop a strong business presence across specific sectors and generate sales leads by maintaining and growing relationships with key players in the sports industry.
- Analyze each brand’s target audiences, business objectives, and strategies to better sell THE·TEAM’s capabilities and rights.
- Build and maintain senior‑level relationships, ensuring THE·TEAM is viewed as the agency of choice.
- Provide strategic basis for outreaches, leading the development of proposals and presentations to prospects.
- Drive new concept ideation and design processes to maintain THE·TEAM’s leadership position in the industry.
- Identify revenue‑generating opportunities with a focus on the broader THE·TEAM group.
Qualifications
- 5‑8+ years of experience in a similar position with a proven record of success in international partnership development.
- Proven knowledge and passion for cricket.
- Proven results in initiating and driving new business relationships.
- Prior agency and business development experience, including managing brands that utilize event, digital, and brand marketing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and commitment to success, with a proven ability to manage expectations.
- Results‑orientated revenue generator with international business development experience and long‑term relationship management.
- Critical and strategic thinking: ability to provide value‑added insights and make decisions.
- Driven, entrepreneurial mindset with accountability for risks and outcomes.
- Outstanding presenter and face of the company to clients and the marketplace.
