This is a Freelance position until Dec 2026 THE·TEAM is seeking an Account Director to join our Influencer department.

We're looking for an experienced creator marketing leader who understands the evolving social landscape, has a passion for influencer marketing and sport, and can build long-term strategic partnerships with clients.

The successful candidate will lead a portfolio of Global and EMEA accounts, providing strategic direction across creator marketing programmes while overseeing the successful delivery of campaigns.

They will be responsible for developing senior client relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth, mentoring and developing team members, and ensuring campaigns deliver against business objectives, timelines and budgets.

Working closely with internal specialists across strategy, creative, production, paid media and account teams, the Account Director will champion best-in-class creator marketing and help shape the future direction of our Social & Influencer offering.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Client Leadership & Strategy
  • Own a portfolio of Global and EMEA client accounts, acting as the senior strategic lead and trusted advisor.
  • Build and maintain strong senior client relationships, providing strategic guidance that aligns creator marketing activity with wider business objectives.
  • Lead the development of integrated creator marketing strategies, ensuring campaigns are insight-led, innovative and commercially effective.
  • Provide proactive recommendations that identify opportunities to enhance campaign performance, expand programme scope and drive long-term client growth.
  • Present strategic recommendations, campaign performance and business reviews confidently to senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial Growth
  • Identify opportunities for organic account growth and incremental revenue across existing clients.
  • Support new business opportunities through strategic input, pitch development and presentations.
  • Drive account profitability through effective budget management, resource planning and commercial decision making.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to help shape and grow THE·TEAM's creator marketing offering.
  • Campaign Oversight
  • Oversee the successful delivery of multiple creator campaigns across a range of clients and markets.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered to the highest standard, on time, within budget and against agreed KPIs.
  • Provide senior oversight across campaign planning, creator selection, negotiations, content development, production, approvals and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery across creative strategy, production, social, paid media and analytics.
  • Resolve challenges proactively whilst ensuring client confidence throughout campaign delivery.
  • Creator Marketing Expertise
  • Lead creator strategy across accounts, identifying culturally relevant opportunities and best-in-class talent.
  • Provide senior guidance on creator partnerships, negotiations, contracting and relationship management.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of creator marketing trends, platform developments and industry best practice.
  • Advise clients on measurement frameworks, paid amplification, whitelisting, licensing and creator content optimisation.
  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Creator Managers and Senior Creator Managers, creating clear development plans and supporting career progression.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Provide quality assurance across campaign deliverables, ensuring consistently excellent work.
  • Support resource planning, workload management and team utilisation across the department.
  • Champion best practice, improving internal processes and ways of working.
  • Reporting & Operational Excellence
  • Ensure robust campaign reporting that delivers actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee project financials including forecasting, budgeting, profitability and invoicing.
  • Maintain exceptional standards across project management, documentation and campaign governance.
  • Stay at the forefront of the creator economy, emerging technologies and platform innovation, sharing knowledge across the wider business.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 7-9+ years' experience in influencer, creator marketing or social media, with significant experience leading global client accounts.
  • Proven experience managing senior client relationships and acting as a strategic advisor.
  • Demonstrated success delivering integrated creator marketing campaigns for major global brands.
  • Experience identifying and securing account growth opportunities through strategic recommendations.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing campaign budgets, forecasting and profitability.
  • Excellent leadership experience, including managing, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of the creator economy and major social platforms including Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Facebook, X, Twitch and Snapchat.
  • Strong network across creators, talent agencies and the wider creator ecosystem.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to oversee multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience working with paid social, whitelisting, licensing and creator measurement platforms such as Creator IQ is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally across strategy, creative, production and client services teams.
  • Passionate about social culture, creators and digital innovation.
  • Interest and experience within sport, particularly football and sports partnerships, is highly desirable.
