The Digital Account Director will sit in the Performance team within Brands and Properties. Our key focus as a department is to provide a quicker path to audience and commercial growth – bringing fans closer to what they love, and our clients closer to fans to maximise ROI.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has a strong entrepreneurial outlook, tenacious and proactive, with a passion for sport keen to join a rapidly growing team. We are looking for a bright, energetic and creative thinker with exceptional strategic thinking and ability to confidently communicate our offering and how we deliver for our clients. Someone who is experienced in the ever changing digital marketing ecosystem and able to work both independently and leading a team of experts.
As a growing business, the Account Director will need to have a passion for growing and developing teams that are built around trust and open communication – driving people to be their best and caring about individuals’ learning and development goals to ensure we have a team that represents the best in our industry. This role will report into a Senior Director.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Management of key relationships with clients, rights holders and our partners
- Thorough understanding of client KPIs and budget parameters
- Demonstrate clear commercial acumen across costings, understanding of margins and impacts on cost of sale to the business overall EBITDA
- Overseeing the reporting and evaluation on each campaign and/or client business reviews
- Strive to meet client KPI’s and ensure all activity is effectively measured by the team
- Deliver clear and concise internal and external presentations/reports
- Continually seek cost saving measures and opportunities to drive efficiencies across the business
- Pursue opportunities to grow business – especially on the key owned retainer clients
- Manage team members, ensuring that tasks are being completed correctly, efficiently and timely
- Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends
- Driving new business/pitch response opportunities in terms of strategy and content, through to building out scope of work and costings documents
- Demonstrate appropriate behaviours, conduct and professionalism in all inter‑personal, written and verbal communications
- Track time and financial expenses on a day-to-day basis
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- 4‑6+ years of digital marketing experience – agency experience strongly preferred
- A strong understanding of current digital marketing landscape and trends
- Clear, confident communicator with exceptional project management skills
- Extremely organised and strong work ethic and ability to multi‑task
- Ability to keep calm in a fast‑paced environment with tight project deadlines
- Proficient in MS Excel – ability to structure and develop quantitative Excel models and analysis to generate data‑driven results and recommendations
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint – ability to create high quality presentations that tell a story around data and not just the stats and figures on a page
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Google Analytics
- Experience working with CRM platforms
- Understanding and interest of the sports industry is preferred
