Head of Workforce Logistics - Ryder Cup

Location: Virginia Water, Surrey (with travel required) Contract: Fixed-Term Contract to October 2027 The European Tour group is one of the world's pre-eminent golf organisations.

About the Role

Working closely with functional leaders across the organisation, you'll develop and implement the workforce logistics strategy for Ryder Cup 2027, ensuring operational excellence across all workforce support services.

Its responsibilities will include

  • Developing and delivering the overall workforce logistics strategy.
  • Leading workforce travel and accommodation planning, including flights, transfers and transport
  • Overseeing accommodation operations across multiple lodging categories, including hotels, houses, and bespoke accommodation solutions.
  • Managing workforce accreditation processes and coordinating access requirements.
  • Overseeing workforce uniform programmes in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Developing workforce communications and ensuring employees receive timely and accurate operational information.
  • Supporting staff welfare initiatives and workforce catering operations.
  • Managing budgets and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Leading workforce logistics operations during tournament week and resolving operational challenges as they arise.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure workforce requirements are understood and delivered successfully.

About You

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive workforce operations professional with experience delivering large-scale logistics programmes in complex event environments.

You'll ideally bring

  • Significant experience delivering workforce operations or logistics programmes within major sporting events, international events or large-scale live events.
  • Experience managing a complex accommodation programme spanning hotels, rental properties, luxury homes, and alternative accommodation options.
  • Experience managing workforce travel event logistics programmes.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and operational delivery plans.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering employee or volunteer support programmes at scale.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • A solutions-focused approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience leading teams and driving operational excellence.
