Transport Manager – Ryder Cup Europe (Fixed‑Term Contract to October 2027)
Location: Surrey, UK (with travel to Adare). The role may also be based in Ireland.
About the Role
We are building a team to deliver an exceptional experience at Adare Manor for the 2027 Ryder Cup. The Transport Manager will lead planning and delivery of VIP and stakeholder transport, managing journeys for sponsors, officials, invited guests and other VVIPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define transport requirements for sponsors, government officials, invited guests and VIPs across key milestones, including the Year‑to‑Go event and 2027 event week.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end transport solutions across venues, airports and official hotels.
- Map and deliver arrival/departure processes for key user groups across multiple transport modes.
- Oversee procedures covering access, parking, accreditation and vehicle movements.
- Set up and manage transportation dispatch operations at key stakeholder hotels.
- Support delivery of on‑site VIP bus terminal operations and coordinate hotel bus operations (scheduling, access control, dispatch).
- Collaborate across key workstreams, supporting player transport operations, vehicle movements and police escort coordination.
- Manage sponsor fleet operations in partnership with delivery teams.
- Work with internal teams to deliver workforce transport schemes and hire‑car programmes.
- Engage with local stakeholders in Adare, including residents and businesses, and support communication of transport plans with transport and community working groups.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong experience managing complex transport or logistics operations end‑to‑end.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, suppliers and transport providers.
- Experience developing and communicating clear operational policies.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, suppliers and high‑profile/VIP guests.
- Experience delivering transport operations for major sporting or large‑scale events (essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
