We’re looking for a Catering Operations Manager to play a key role in planning and delivering catering operations for the Ryder Cup 2027. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a large‑scale international event, collaborating with leading catering partners and supporting world‑class delivery. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, live event environment. You will support the end‑to‑end catering operation, ensuring everything runs smoothly – from early planning right through to live event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and coordination of catering across hospitality, public, staff, and retail areas
- Working closely with catering partners and suppliers to ensure readiness and smooth execution
- Assisting with logistics planning, including deliveries, storage, and equipment deployment
- Maintaining planning trackers, schedules, and operational documentation
- Monitoring service standards, KPIs, and sustainability requirements
- Supporting workforce coordination, including staffing plans and accreditation tracking
- Providing hands‑on, on‑site support during build‑up, live event delivery, and de‑rig phases
- Assisting with financial processes, including purchase orders and invoice validation
- Contributing to post‑event reporting and continuous improvement insights
Qualifications
- 2–4 years’ experience in catering, food & beverage, or event operations
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the go
- Awareness of food safety and operational standards
