We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing activity across our portfolio. You will be responsible for driving cost efficiency, product quality and consistency and monitoring adherence to agreed commercial terms across all procurement categories at Chestnut. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for a procurement professional who thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and has the skill to develop strategic partnerships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement
- Develop and execute the annual procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead end‑to‑end sourcing for all categories across segments based on the business needs.
- Drive consolidation and rationalisation of the supplier base to maximise leverage and reduce complexity.
- Identify and deliver year‑on‑year cost savings without compromising quality or service standards.
- Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and preferred vendors.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, regular reviews, and continuous improvement plans.
- Lead tender processes and negotiations for all contracts.
- Ensure supplier compliance with legal, ethical, and sustainability requirements, including Modern Slavery Act obligations.
- Operational Procurement
- Ensure suppliers are managing their prices, invoice submission and approved product lines on Procure Wizard.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions promptly to minimise impact on guest experience.
- Financial & Compliance
- Manage and report against the procurement budget, tracking savings and spend by category.
- Ensure all procurement activity complies with company policy, GDPR, and relevant UK regulations.
- Partner with Finance to manage payment terms, accruals, and period‑end reporting.
- Maintain accurate contract registers and ensure timely renewals and renegotiations.
